“Further iterations of the mask have been innovated such as the Smile Mask and the factory has also pivoted production to make hospital scrubs and re-usable surgical gowns.”
Seahawk production supervisor Samantha Carr added: “As all of our manufacturing is done in-house, we have complete control over the end product and this has been invaluable when dealing with new product requirements and adaptions.

There are also the added economic and environmental benefits of dealing with a local supply chain, and it’s really encouraging to see major businesses and organisations tapping in to the resources on their doorstep to support the local economy.”
There is also a clear variation on the mask design which allows people to see a person’s mouth – but still staying as safe as possible.
This Smile Face View mask is available in a choice of colours and both adult or child sizes and is reusable and washable.
Mr Sayles said: “The Scottish Government believes that non-medical masks have a role to play in helping to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. It's only right that all parts of our community should have equal potential to access the associated benefits.
“The innovative Face View mask improves that access.”
