The night is being organised by SPAR in Maggie Wood’s Loan, Falkirk, in partnership with distillers William Grant and Sons, in aid of Strathcarron Hospice.

Taking place on Saturday, February 27, the event will give participants a chance to sample a “number of expensive whiskies” in the comfort of their own home, including Tullamore Dew Original and Tullamore 14-year-old.

All profits from the whisky taster will go to Strathcarron, which has a £12,900 daily funding requirement.

The independent Fankerton-based service needs to raise more than £4.5 million each year to keep its services running.

Anand Cheema, SPAR owner, said: “People can private message us and we can deliver samples to them or they can come into the store and get tickets and samples.”
