Dannii Brennan was approached via social media by Chloe Ferry, who featured on MTV programme Geordie Shore, after the latter learned of the Desired Aesthetics Beauty Lounge boss’ work.

The 30-year-old was asked if she would work on the television personality’s eyelashes prior to an appearance on Channel 4 show Celebs Go Dating.

To her even greater surprise, Dannii was then asked if she would be interested in becoming a franchisee of Chloe’s CM House of Training.

She said: “When we were out of lockdown Chloe invited me to Newcastle to do her lashes.

“I went down to her house and she told me the day before she was getting her business manager to come and meet me.

“I was already excited at this opportunity. I met her business partner and they asked if I would like to franchise.

“Chloe has 3.5 million followers, I’m just from Falkirk!

“Because she’s so well-known, it’s going to bring people from all over.”

Having recently renovated and reopened her Vicar Street salon, which first opened in 2018, Dannii is now in the midst of training up the next generation.

Approaching her tenth year in the industry, she cites her passion for “cleanliness, hygiene and protocols” as a stand-out feature and credits her seven-strong team of staff for developing a reputation to be proud of at Desired Aesthetics Beauty Lounge.

Now able to trade post-lockdown, Dannii added: “We’re coming back so much stronger.

“I wanted the place to be a sophisticated area. I want people to walk in and forget they’re in a town.

“For me, it’s about the journey from when a client books an appointment to when they come in.

“I’ve kept all my staff. I have people who have the right passion and attitude.

“I’m selective with who I work with. Myself and all the girls are positive.

“They’ve followed me from previous jobs. It wouldn’t be what it is without the girls I have with me.”
