Gayle Stuart laughed: “There’s definitely going to be a lot of new babies coming along in January and February thanks to the lockdown.”

And Gayle’s shop, Spoiled by Love Baby Boutique in Dundas Street, is more than equipped to kit those little ones out in top quality – yet highly affordable – baby clothing and accessories.

“When the bigger shop became available I just thought, I’m going to go for it,” said Gayle. “And it’s been the best thing I’ve done. I’m from Falkirk and have a large following on Facebook – around 8000 – but some people still don’t know I’m here.

“I’ve got the only baby shop in Grangemouth at the moment.”

Gayle, a mum of two, started the business online back in 2018 and opened her first shop a year later.

Customers can buy everything from all-in-one sleep suits, romper suits and dungarees to leather pram shoes, pom pom mittens and tutu socks – even a Diamante pink tracksuit – and best selling items include the Wee Me Tartan Dress.

There are also tons of gift ideas for family members celebrating the birth of a baby, including a My First Football rattle, and My First Bear, as well as practical items like pram covers and bubble blankets.

Gayle said: “Our biggest aim is to bring traditional and Spanish style at the best affordable prices for our customers and use our knowledge of clothes to bring customers the best baby trends around.

“We pride ourselves in our customers service and our stock changes on a weekly basis, so people should follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with our new arrivals.”

The new premises in Dundas Street is open 11am to 3pm Monday to Wednesday, 11am to 7pm on Thursdays, 11pm to 4pm on Fridays and 11am to 3pm on Saturdays.
