Entrepreneur Chris Allen became the youngest franchisee of Enjoy-a-Ball as a fresh-faced 19-year-old back in 2007, but has built up his business to branch out into Cumbernauld, Edinburgh and most recently Stirling.

Enjoy-a-Ball is a multi-sports, fun-filled coaching programme for girls and boys aged between three and nine.

The objective is to make children’s first experiences in a sports coaching environment happy and memorable where they can have fun and interact with other kids.

Chris and his team now coach 1200 kids every week and have over 50 local nurseries around the country. Along the way the business has received several accolades including the Outstanding Achievement Award at The Falkirk Herald’s 2015 Business Awards.

Chris said: “Since the beginning of Enjoy-a-Ball we have raised £10,000 for charity and we will be holding two charity events on March 11 – a three-hour one at Helix Park during the day, which is free to everyone – and one for adults in the Park Hotel at night.

“Our charity night will have a disco, raffle, auction, photo booth and a few fun games to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities.”

To raise even more money for Children With Cancer UK Chris is also running the London Marathon in April.

The free charity event at Helix Park will be three hours of fun games and all Enjoy-a-Ball Coaches will have buckets to collect money for our chosen charity. We are also inviting different companies along to help us raise as much money as possible.

Companies and organisations taking part include NRG Dance, Stenhousemuir Football Club, Baby Sensory, Bow Diva, Kobe Osaka Karate Club, Bounce On, Face Painting by Catrina, RJM Sports, Art and Soul, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Tescos, Zoolab, mini medics, Party Lite, Create Falkirk, Sparta Boxing, Mums Today, Glitter Faces and many more.

The event takes place from 9.30am-noon for anyone aged 0-100. There will also be a charity football match between Enjoy-a-Ball coaches and parents on the day.

The second event in the evening at the Park Hotel starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10. If you would like to take part in any of the events, make contact through the Enjoy-a-Ball Facebook page – EABcentral.
