Artisan has all the right features on tap

Last December he took over the running of Artisan Tap in Falkirk following a £200,000 investment by owners Hawthorn Leisure.

Six months later the popular pub in Wooer Street is benefitting from further investments.

It now has a state-of-the-art sound system and 70-inch screen to showcase live sporting events.

However, Cameron has lots of ideas for the future and hopes to put his experience in the hospitality trade to good use.

He has worked in hotels from 15 including the Grand Central hotel in Glasgow; has a degree in hospitality management; was whisky ambassador at the prestigious Royal Scotsman; his first management role was at the world famous Kilted Kangaroo in Stirling and now is one of Hawthorns youngest operators. He’s also about to oversee a second site, the Radical Road in Edinburgh.

Having already delivered six months of growth and some interesting twists – busy Thursday quiz nights, homemade artisan baked pizzas now with soaring takeaway sales too, an extensive range of cask ale, 40 craft beers from around the globe – and two new jobs have been created as a result.
