Annette's firm will be a force for good

Annette Tonner, from Falkirk, who has a 20-year career as an employability and welfare to work trainer behind her, has set up Forth Valley Community Focus CIC, a community interest company that will pour its profits back into good causes across the area.

The company, which also has directors Stewart Hall and William Scott is now up and running but is awaiting premises at the old Farmfoods store at Falkirk bus station to be renovated to move into for her base.

The CIC aims to be self-sustaining by offering services to the hospitality and construction industries through a community training cafe and model call centre bureau/office that provides training, volunteering and work experience which lead to accredited qualifications.

Annette said: “Forth Valley Community Focus CIC believes in the power of cohesive, connected communities to effect real and lasting social change – a change that will see our local authorities benefit from affordable, yet high value quality service provision. Having over 20 years’ experience I knew I could provide the sort of training more effectively, cheaper and with a real person centred approach.”
