17 Falkirk area businesses nominated for Scottish Independent Retail Awards

A variety of Falkirk district businesses have been nominated for this year’s Scottish Independent Retail Awards.

From pharmacies and cafes to carpet stores and flower shops, various firms from across the region are in with a chance of winning gongs.

A prize ceremony for the tenth annual Scottish Independent Retail Awards will take place in Glasgow on April 1 to celebrate the country’s best retailers which enhance their local community and economy.

Among the nominees from Falkirk district is Right Medicine Pharmacy in Carronshore which is in the running for Pharmacy of the Year.

Pharmacist Gemma McCutcheon said: “We have been nominated for the second year running.

“We’re assuming it’s from a customer for the service the local community receive from us.

“The pharmacy really is quite important and well used by the Carronshore community and we have been here for at least ten years.

“We would just like to thank all the people in Carronshore. Without them we wouldn’t be here.”

Also nominated for the Pharmacy of the Year title is Callendar Pharmacy in Falkirk.
