“The day is jam packed full of fun and entertainment for all ages. The castle and museum has so much to offer and we hope this event will really highlight that.”

Activities range from re-enactors to gunpowder displays, cookery and cocktail making demonstrations to gallery tours and object handling sessions; face painting, family crafts, treasure hunts and shortbread soldier decorating.

Visitors can also indulge in the Wicked chocolate stall with a flowing chocolate fountain; let the kids dress up as soldiers and have fun as a family trying to beat the goalie.
