Bo'ness Hippodrome's silent film festival rides again , but moves online
and live on Freeview channel 276
HippFest, as the popular festival has become known, will take place between March 17 and March 21.
Due to coronavirus restrictions the festival has been forced to move online, which means a cracking line-up of celluloid classics – including German blonde bombshell Marlene Dietrich’s flick The Woman Men Yearn For – can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.

Hide AdThe online approach is nothing new for HippFest as it presented the silent thriller Filibus: The Mysterious Air Pirate (1915) – which featured The first female onscreen action hero – to cyber cinema fans last November.
The 10th festival will also feature live Q&As, a Silent Film Quiz, a Silver Screen Suppers Cook-along and lots more.
The full programme and tickets will be on sale from February 16.
