The seventh Wooer with Words poetry, prose and performance afternoon takes place on Saturday.
Running from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in it regular haunt, Coffee on Wooer, Wooer Street, Falkirk, the popular event will once again draw together amateur and professional scribes for another convivial get together where the power, passion and playfulness of language is the order of the day.
The seventh gathering, which takes place in the pleasant confines of the coffee shop’s upstairs, already features an intriguing line-up of writers and performers, including Paul Cowan, Emma Mooney, Carol Anne Hunter, Paul Tonner
Helen McKinven, Clare Archibald, Craig Allan and Dickson Telfer.
A Words on Wooer spokesperson said: “It’s the perfect opportunity to read out your work for the very first time or to address an audience with material from your latest novel. All are welcome.”
