A band of mini thieves will be taking over Falkirk Town Hall later this month.
Falkirk Operatic Society’s production of the musical ‘Oliver’ opens at FTH on April 24.
The adult company has been joined by a whole host of young stars who are playing the youthful ragamuffins in the show.
The title role of Oliver is being shared between Lewis Dixon and Briana Craig, while Rebecca Harris will play the part of Dodger.
The show has not been without a few hiccups along the way – Central Scotland Ballet School teacher Amanda Louise Clark was originally cast as Nancy but she tore her Achilles tendon and had to withdraw. Susan McFarlane has stepped into the role.
The show is the directorial debut for the company’s former president Lorna Wallace, packed with well known songs – from the heart-wrenching ‘As Long as He Needs Me’ to the more lively ‘Consider Yourself’.
And with such a talented company on stage, audiences are sure to be begging for more!
Falkirk Operatic Society’s production of ‘Oliver!’ is on at Falkirk Town Hall from Tuesday, April 24, to Saturday, April 28, at 7.30 p.m. with a matinee on the Saturday at 2 p.m.
Tickets, priced £10 (£7.50 conc and matinee, no concessions Saturday night) are available from the Steeple box office on (01324) 506850.
