Musician Adam Donaldson was welcomed into his new wife’s family with a completely unique present.

His wife’s step father Ralph Pearson created a one off Star Wars guitar depicting the Millenium Falcon, the Death Star, Yoda and Darth Vader using a wood burning technique called pyrography.

Adam, from Grangemouth, said he was blown away with the gift which took Ralph eight months to complete in his spare time.

Adam, who married Andrea earlier this year, said: “When Ralph asked for an old guitar, I had no idea it would turn out like this. It’s incredible and I’m really touched at the effort he put in. I’ve taken it to a few open mic sessions and the response has been great, people are blown away by the detail.

“I’m a huge Star Wars fan so I’m thrilled with it.”

Ralph works at Longannet Power Station and goes to Delta Studios in Larbert in his spare time, where he learned the pyrography technique.
