Falkirk’s funk fanatics and groove junkies will be bopping to the sounds of Big Soul and the Impact Players next weekend.

The immaculately suited and booted big band, which has now swelled to a sensational seven members, will make their much anticipated return to Behind the Wall, Melville Street, on Saturday, December 14, just in time to provided a pre-Christmas treat to local fans.

Bandleader and shrinking violet, Brother C “The Pastor” said: “The mighty Big Soul and the Impact Players will be returning to BTW.

“As if that wasn’t enough, we are even more incredible than before. We are now a super soultacular seven-piece featuring new blood Rapid Fire Roddy on saxophone and Wailin’ Jaynie on the most bodacious backing vocals you ever did hear.”

Boasting a set list brimming with floorfillers from Chic, Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, David Bowie, The Style Council, The Average White Band, Little Richard, Tom Jones, James Brown, Otis Redding, and Ike and Tina Turner, this is one band with a true commitment to the music they blast out.

Things get real well before the midnight hour.
