A cult 1980s film will be brought to the stage next week at the Dobbie Hall in Larbert.

Larbert Amateur Operatic Society are performing the stage version of the Kevin Bacon hit musical ‘Footloose’ - about a dance obsessed boy.

Ren, played by Antony Carter, moves to the Bible Belt, where rock and roll and dance are banned. He tries to shake things up in the rural community and bring
some fun to the stuffy
townsfolk.

The play features iconic 1980s songs such as ‘Holding out for a Hero’, ‘Let’s Hear It For The Boy’ and, of course, the title song
‘Footloose’.

The show runs from Tuesday, May 12 to Saturday May 16 at 7.30 p.m. and is part of the Falkirk Tryst Festival. Tickets priced £10 (£8) are available from www.ticketcource.co.uk or from the Steeple Box Office in Falkirk High Street.
