This week will go down as one of the best in vocal coach Chris Judge’s life.

Not only did he sing for the Queen yesterday as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations but he will support Tom Jones tomorrow.

Chris, who runs VoiceJam in Grangemouth, says he has to pinch himself to believe all this is happening to him.

The Falkirk Herald spoke to the singer just before he went on stage to thousands at Glasgow’s George Square.

Chris explains: “I work with various clients, some quite high profile, including ‘X Factor’ star Gamu. I’ve been working on her album with her and so when she was asked to play for the Queen, as part of her team so was I.

“We are performing some tracks from her new album as well as covers by people like Aretha Franklin and Florence and the Machine. It’s a huge gig for her, it’s the first big one she has had since she came to the public’s attention on ‘X Factor’ so to not only be performing to thousands but to know the Queen is watching is a lot of pressure - but I know she’ll be great.

“So I’ll be performing backing vocals and vocal arrangements for her today and then on Friday, I’ll be at Hamilton Park with two other clients, TJ Bilham and Carrie Mac, to support Tom Jones.

“I just can’t believe it - it’s an incredible week.”

To top off his lucky streak, TJ and a boy band Chris works with will support Steps and Peter Andre on Saturday at Hamilton Park again.

TJ wowed the audience at this year’s Falkirk Herald Voice and gave up a life in sunny Monaco to move to Scotland and make it as a singer.

Chris continued: “TJ is doing so well and he is a lovely guy that deserves every success. It’s a pretty big week so him and he’s so excited about it.

“I’m a huge Tom Jones fan so I can’t decide whether I’m more excited about sharing a stage with him or performing for the Queen - it’s a tough call!”
