Central Scotland Ballet School was among the winners and highly commended businesses at the prestigious What’s On 4 2014 Junior Awards earlier this year.

The awards programme, which is supported by babyworld.co.uk and Drayton Manor Theme Park is now in its eighth year and celebrates the best activities, classes, volunteers and venues from throughout the UK as nominated and voted for by the experts - parents and parents-to-be.

Central Scotland Ballet School, which runs classes in Linlithgow and South Queensferry, was highly commended in the best local activity for children aged five to 12 category.

The school also received a nomination for ‘best local activity for under fives’, and teacher Amanda Clark reaching the finals for both ‘most outstanding leader for under fives’ and ‘most outstanding leader for children aged five to 12’ categories.

Amanda (pictured) said: “To win an award was fantastic, especially as it’s due to the amazing support of our students and their parents.”

The awards complete a great summer for the school who sent 48 dancers to perform in Disneyland Paris and also had students taking part in the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
