Redding’s Barbara finds her voice at last with new single

Barbara Bryceland has released her debut single and will promote it during a busy weekend

Barbara Bryceland has released her debut single and will promote it during a busy weekend

Star of BBC’s ‘The Voice’, Barbara Bryceland, releases her debut single, ‘Love is the Name of the Game’ this week.

Barbara (47) from Redding was a finalist in the talent show, being selected by the legendary Tom Jones to mentor and although she didn’t win, the programme has been a great platform for the singer.

Barbara said: “We filmed ‘The Voice’ about this time last year and it’s been manic ever since. I think I’ve had two weeks off tin 12 months but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s been the best year.”

The glamorous gran was approached by T.H.P. Composers who had a song they needed a huge diva voice for and now ‘Love is the Name of the Game’ is available on iTunes with a video on You Tube.

“The single is a big ballad number with a good dance beat and the video is really camp and colourful - just like me!”

Busy Barabara will launch the single during an action-packed weekend. Today she is in London filming with television presenter Vernon Kay, tomorrow she performs in La Banca, Vicar Street, Falkirk from 10 p.m. and Saturday is the official launch party for the single at Merchant Pride in Glasgow.

‘Love is the Name of the Game’ is available from iTunes now and the video from You Tube. For more information on Barbara’s gigs, visit www.barbarabryceland.com
