Talented Eve Pearson twirled off with a top trophy after taking part in a recent dancing competition.

The 10-year-old lifted the Novice Cup at the Renfrewshire Dance Festival after her gold medal success in the tap, modern, ballet and song and dance categories.

A pupil at Comely Park School, Eve, who lives with her family in Falkirk town centre, attends Stenhouse School of Dance.

Proud mum Jacqui said: “She’s been dancing since pre-school but has only been taking part in competitions since last year. It’s quite daunting but she loves it and I believe it give them confidence.

“I think it is harder for the mums who have to watch from the sidelines.”

Little brother Rudy (6) is now following in his sister’s ‘dance steps’ and has joined a new hip hop class that the Stenhouse School runs.
