Space to explore in in a perfect setting

If space is what you are looking for, then space is what you’ll get with this modern and stylish five-bedroom house.

Built on the site of Mungal Farm, owners David and Laura Robertson are reluctantly leaving a neighbourhood they have come to love as the house is now just too big for them.

With one teenager in the house, however, they are still glad of the two large sitting rooms the property boasts, which allow for a teenage gathering in one room, while David and Laura can quietly watch television in a different lounge.

The sitting room which overlooks the front of the house has something very special as far as Laura is concerned.

“I always wanted a bay window,” she says. “I love it – especially at Christmas time because it is ideal for a Christmas tree.”

And there’s another bay window – in the beautiful and spacious master bedroom. “The master bedroom is huge – it’s the same size as the lounge,” said Laura. “It has an en-suite walk-in shower, which is great.”

For Laura, however, her favourite place to spend time is the superb kitchen – which, you may have guessed by now, is a generous size and very well equipped.

It is a dining kitchen, with ample room for table and chairs, and there is a utility room as well as a bright, sunny conservatory just off it.

“It’s a great house for entertaining because there is so much room,” said Laura.

The conservatory in turn leads to the garden. While the front garden is kept low maintenance, the back is laid to lawn, ideal for a young family, and there is an attractive sun deck that provides a great social space whenever the sun decides to shine, as well as a patio area.

Another plus point is the double garage and off-street parking.

The Robertsons moved into the house six years ago, when it was just two years old.

Although they have never felt the need to make any major changes, they have put down high quality wooden flooring or new carpets throughout the house, while the decor is fresh and neutral.

Another plus for the family is the location which, says Laura, is handy for supermarkets, schools and local railway stations.

“The neighbours are all very friendly and we will really miss living here,” she added.

The property at 18 McInally Crescent, Falkirk, is on the market with Clyde Property, Falkirk
