Catch up with Falkirk folk in far flung places

WHERE ARE YOU FROM ORIGINALLY? Maddiston.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW? Perth, Western Australia.

WHY ARE YOU THERE? I met someone and fell in love.

WHAT DO YOU DO? I’m a theatre designer.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THERE? 16 years.

FAMILY? My sister Dale and family live here.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE NOW? The beautiful beaches, relaxed lifestyle and great opportunities to do things that you wouldn’t normally do.

ANYTHING YOU DON’T LIKE? How far away it is from the rest of the world.

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERE AND HERE? It is very relaxed and orientated towards outdoor activities in Perth and there is always a sense that you never need to rush to do anything because the sun is always going to be shining.

WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST FROM HOME? My family, Marks and Spencer’s biscuits and walking up the High Street underneath the twinkle of Christmas lights on a cold December night.

ANY MESSAGE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS? Love you all and hope to see you in the near future. Looking forward to giving my nephew Luke and my niece Paige a big hug.
