EAST Stirlingshire have been expelled from the Scottish Cup for fielding an ineligible player in their fourth round game against Buckie Thistle.
SFA bosses handed down the sentence at a meeting at Hampden Park last week.
Jim McInally’s side were punished for playing on-loan keeper Michael Fraser, whose registration forms had not been completed in time for the game on January 19.
Shire had been due to face Arbroath in the fifth round on Saturday.
Their place has now been taken by Highland League side Buckie, who have been re-instated to the competition.
