Falkirk rugby club’s CALA Park ground played host to the three Grand Finals of the Scottish Rugby League championships on Saturday.
In the last match, it was a tight affair as Aberdeen “Reds” defeated Easterhouse 30-28 .
In the earlier match involving Aberdeen it was a more convincing victory, but not for the northern side.
Aberdeen Whites lost 84-4 to Ayrshire Storm.
Falkirk were in action in the under-17s final, but lost 48-6 to Easterhouse Panthers.
There was positive news for the Sunnyside club though as two players from the club’s under-16 team have been selected for the 20-man squad for the upcoming rugby league tour of England.
Euan Edmond and Christopher Downie have been selected to represent the national under-6 team and will leave on the tour tomorrow (Friday) to round off a highly successful season in leading the local side to last weekend’s championship finals.
