Robert Olejnik has signed for English League Two team Torquay.
The goalkeeper joined the coastal club after ten days training with Falkirk.
Steven Pressley had hoped to secure the goalkeeper on a deal vastly reduced from his terms last season.
But the Austrian Olejnik, as a free agent, elected to sign on in England. It left Falkirk with one goalkeeper signed on senior terms.
To replace the stopper Elvis brought in Michael McGovern for training but was forced into fielding rookie keeper Graham Bowman for the match against Alloa.
Olejnik, nicknamed Boaby and The Beast during his four-year spell at Falkirk, started his career at Aston Villa. He was also linked with a move to Colchester in some sections of the media, and other unnamed English clubs were interested in the stopper’s signature, before he elected to join Torquay.
