No excuses after Falkirk defeat

FALKIRK didn't make any excuses after a dismal performance against Queen of the South on Saturday.

The Bairns went down to three first-half goals in a below-par performance and were beaten by a brace from Allan Johnstone plus a delightful lob by Colin McMenamin.

Steven Pressley declared he would "find the answers," and held his hands up for the defeat.

"I'm the manager and I take full responsibility for the team," he added.

Defender Brian McLean was also furious with the performance, but told Heraldsport "It's a good thing to have a game coming so soon.

"We've got to show what we can do against Partick Thistle and get over this performance, and get it right out of our systems."

It was better news for Stenhousemuir, as Davie Irons lead them to a second straight away win - in Dumbarton.

Scott Dalziel's late strtike was enough to clinch three points for the Warriors and East Stirlingshire also left it late, with two second half goals to beat Clyde.
