Kieran McGuckin and his three relay team-mates are in tonight’s 4x100m freestyle swimming final in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The Falkirk swimmer will join his friend Ross Muir at tonight’s evening session after Muir took the eighth place in the 400m individual medley.
McGuckin helped Scotland secure a new national record and finish first place in their heat, finishing in 3.19.60, enough to secure a place at Tollcross international pool this evening.
Also qualifying for finals this morning was Michael Jamieson and Ross Murdoch who are competing in the 100m breaststroke final after finishing in the gold and silver places in last night’s 200m breaststroke final.
Both McGuckin and RossMuir featured on The Falkirk Herald’s special front page ‘ The Bairns Supremacy’ this week. Use the twitter tag ‘bairn supremacy’ when supporting our local athletes on social media.
