Warriors snatch Dumfries draw as Shire see off Peterhead

John Gemmell was on target for the Warriors again

John Gemmell was on target for the Warriors again

Stenhousemuir came from two goals down to draw with nine-man Queen of the South in Dumfries.

Mark Durnan opened the scoring for the home side after only two minutes but they had Derek Young sent off just before the interval.

However, early in the second half Nicky Clark made in 2-0.

Two goals in four minutes midway through the half - a John Gemmell strike and penalty from Brown Ferguson - pulled the Warriors level before Kevin Holt became the second Queens player to see red in the last minute.

East Stirling recovered from the going behind after just two minutes to a Rory McAllister penalty to beat Peterhead 2-1 at Ochilview.

Kevin Turner netted both Shire goals, after 32 and 51 minutes.

Steven Noble was sent off for the visitors just before the hour mark.
