Mariners are five alive against Bathgate

Waiting for Video...

Camelon Juniors were the high scorers in the ACA Sports East Region Superleague, but were outdone locally by Falkirk Juniors.

In a remarkable weekend for local junior teams, 12 goals were scored across the three games involving Camelon, Dunipace and Falkirk.

The Mariners saw off Bathgate Thistle 5-1 at Carmuirs Park to go third in the league, while Falkirk Juniors won 6-0 on the road at Edinburgh United.

However, the goal-scoring bug didn’t spread as far as Dunipace. The Westfield Park club only hit one during a 2-1 defeat to Greenock at Ravenscraig Stadium.

The Falkirk Herald’s Lisa Ferguson was on-hand at Carmuirs Park to capture some of the Camelon goal-feast.
