Fraser on the grid

FRASER THOMSON, Polmont’s American football international has been voted Team GB’s most valuable player.

He competed at the European Flag Football Championships with the GB team that finished eighth after being paired with eventual winners Denmark.

Thomson played a key part. At 17 he was the youngest player to play for the GB Lions yet started four of the seven games played.

Fraser scored his first international touchdown against Germany, scored in two games with Sweden - one a vital point to earn victory. After the tournament, the GB players and staff voted Fraser the Most Valuable Player on offense.

Fraser was also involved in the National Finals with Clyde Valley Falcons team attempting to win the title of British Champions.

Fraser, Arnold Masayila from Denny, Ross McGregor from Brightons, Ally Mundie from Sheildhill and Kevin Woods from Redding all played and helped the Falcons to fourth place.
