Stenhousemuir have confirmed the signing of John Gemmell today.

The former Dumbarton forward, nicknamed The Beast because of his bulky physique, spent last season at Albion Rovers.

He grew up on the south side of Glasgow and attended Williamwood High school in Clarkston - the same as Falkirk forward David Weatherston and Scottish rugby international Euan Murray.

Gemmell has now added his name to the growing list of new players at Ochilview that so far includes Greg Ross, Bryan Hodge and Scott Buist.
