Warriors seek a new boss as Irons quits
Irons replace John Coughlin at Ochilview in December 2010
Davie Irons has resigned as manager of Stenhousemuir.
The Warriors chief shocked the club, throwing the towel in ahead of the club's third friendly of the season against a Hamilton XI.
Former Gretna and Morton boss Irons cited personal reasons.
He replaced John Coughlin at Ochilview in December 2010, after an interim period when the club was managed by Graeme Rovertson and Kevin McGoldrick, who stayed on as Irons' assistant.
The boss took on a new role in the police but assured his board this would not interfere with his duties at Stenhousemuir.
Irons and McGoldrick steered Stenhousemuir to a fifth placed finish last term - the club's highest position for 12 years in the pair's only full season in charge - and narrowly missed out on the First Division play-offs on the final day of the season.
They had already saved the club from relegation to the Third Division in their first five months at the helm, before luring the likes of Stewart Kean, Andy Rodgers, Brown Ferguson and player-coach Martyn Corrigan to Ochilview.
