Falkirk will travel to Ayr in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

Former Italy and Juventus boss Marcello Lippi conducted the draw, alongside Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, and paired friends Brian Reid and Steven Pressley.

Both know eachother from their time at Rangers and also meet on Saturday at The Falkirk Stadium, with Ayr currently at the opposite end of the Irn Bru First Division from the Bairns.

So far this season they have met only once, which ended in a 2-2 draw, again at the Honest Men’s ground.

Falkirk progressed after a 2-0 home win over East Fife with goals from Darren Dods and Farid El Alagui, and the Bairns are currently undefeated in all three cup competitions this season.

Ayr defeated Livingston 2-1 at Almondvale with goals from Andy Geggan and Michael McGowan.

The game will be played at Somerset Park on February 4 or 5.
