JACK Compton is on his way back to Falkirk.
After being criticised by boss Steven Pressley in the wake of a 2-0 friendly defeat to Peterhead this month, the Bairns winger had been on trial at Bradford City.
He featured in the recent match with Bolton Wanderers as a trialist - alongside former Bairns team-mates Chris Mitchell and Mark Stewart and ex-Falkirk goalkeeper Mark Howard.
However the Bantams revealed this morning he would be heading back to Scotland and not Humberside for more games.
“We won’t be taking Compton to Hull,” Bradford boss Peter Jackson told his club website. “He’s gone back to Falkirk.”
Compton was substituted during the 2-0 defeat at Balmoor earlier this month and also featured as a pre-season sub against Alloa and Inverurie Locos.
