East Stirling manager John Coughlin has a return to one of his former clubs early on in the new season.

The fixtures for the Irn-Bru Third Division were released today pitting the Shire against Montrose at Ochilview on the opening day, August 6.

After that Coughlin returns to his former haunt of Shielfield Park, Berwick.

He was boss of the Wee Rangers before switching to Stenhousemuir.

The Shire still don’t have many players signed on for the new season but they have their route around the country on paper now, and it ends with a long trip to Peterhead in May for the final day.

There’s also a chance for a big Boxing Day out when the club go to Hampden to play Queen’s Park on December 26.

The January 2 fixture is a home match with near neighbours Alloa, managed by former Celtic, Aberdeen and Scotland star Paul Hartley.
