Falkirk’s Jay Fulton is out of miss tomorrow’s Scottish Cup clash against East Fife.
The 17-year-old was on the receiving end of a strong tackle during the Bairns’ win against Livingston which meant he had to be substituted.
Club doctors have yet to deliver their final assessment on the extent of the damage to Fulton’s ankle ligaments.
Falkirk will still approach Saturday’s fourth round tie in good spirits and will start the match as firm favourites.
East Fife have struggled for the most part this season and find themselves at the wrong end of the Division Two table.
Despite their poor league record, John Roberston’s side have recorded League Cup wins against both Aberdeen and Dunfermline this season - results which Bairns boss Pressley said proved they were worthy of respect.
He added: “The cup always brings excitement, and we’ll work hard to get the right result.”
