Scott Booth strengthened his first team squad with the addition of two
promising youngsters before the
transfer window slammed shut on Monday night.

Left-sided midfielder Tom Walsh has signed on loan from Rangers until January 1 while teenage Hearts forward Gary Oliver - a man who needs no introduction to Warriors fans - will remain at Ochilview until January 5.

Oliver opened the scoring for the Edinburgh side in a 2-1 League Cup victory over the League Two side last week.

That was the teenager’s fifth appearance and his second goal of the season for the Tynecastle side.

Under the terms of the temporary transfer, Hearts can continue to select Oliver for the Under-20 team.

Technical director Robert Rowan tweeted: “Delighted to secure @tomwalsh_48 and @garyoliver7 on loan today.

“Two talented young players with big futures in the game.”
