Stenhousemuir are ringing the changes ahead of next season as Scott Booth makes his mark on the first team squad.
Out are going Darren Smith, Sean Lynch, Ross McNeil, Errol Douglas, Nicky Devlin and Sean Higgins.
But staying are teenagers Ciaran Summers, Alan Lawson, Kristopher Faulds and Robbie Duncan.
Talks are ongoing with defenders Eddie Malone and Ross McMillan.
Warriors boss Scott Booth said it wasn’t a risk to be losing the likes of Smith, Lynch and Higgins, as the Warriors still retain a spine of experience to complement his youthful additions.
“When you consider Chris Smith, Stewart Greacen, David Rowson, Bryan Hodge and John Gemmell are still under contract there is a strength there.
“It was less a decision based on a player’s age and more a look at the system and way I want to play.
“We are losing good players who have like Sean Higgins been offered new deals but decided to pursue careers elsewhere and they move on with our best wishes.
“It is a difficult thing to do though and Tuesday night when we held meetings with the players was a long one.”
Devlin and McNeil had already announced their departures on Twitter on Saturday. Higgins added his comments on Tuesday night.
Speculation surrounded Eddie Malone and John Gemmell and Booth added: “John is under contract next season and will be part of the plans unless another team comes in with an offer. Eddie is currently injured so it’s a case of looking at him getting him back to fitness before anything.
