Stenhousemuir have drafted Colin McMenamin in as a first-team coach to assist boss Scott Booth.

The striker, who had been based in the north of England with Celtic Nation FC last season, announced his arrival as a Warrior on Twitter, saying: “Agreed to join stenhousemuir as player/coach. Can’t wait to get started. New challenge.”

McMenamin, who has been a prolific striker in spells at Livingston, Ross County, Gretna and Dundee played at Ochilview during Falkirk’s brief tenancy there.

He will replace John gemmell who joined Albion Rovers last week.

Warriors chief Scott Booth said: “I’m pleased for John as he was keen on a move back to Albion Rovers as we couldn’t guarantee him game-time.

“I’m also pleased Ross McNeil has found a club and that has Errol Douglas - he’ll do well at Spartans.”
