Falkirk defender Will Vaulks is on trial at Blackburn Rovers.
The defender has been one of several Bairns to attract attention from other clubs and more than 30 clubs were represented by scouts at Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Hamilton Accies.
Jay Fulton, Stephen Kingsley and Conor McGrandles are others who have been drawing admirers.
Gary Holt paid tribute to the Ewood Park-bound 21-year-old when speaking to www.falkirkherald.co.uk this week.
“It’s testament to the young players and how well they’re doing.
“I don’t want to lose him, or anyone at the club, but we know the situation here and if an offer was to come in we’d have to look at it. Blackburn is a big club and it’s a big opportunity for Will.
“He won’t go down there unknown to the Blackburn manager Gary Boyer - they’ll know all about him. A trial period isn’t unusual. Clubs often do it with young players to assess them closely and monitor how they fit and settle with the group and how they handle training.”
Vaulks is the current leader in The Falkirk Herald Starshot awards for this season. He paid his own way to sign on at Falkirk - without joining the wagebill - for the second half of last season and impressed incoming manager Gary Holt enough to be offered a new contract in May.
Jay Fulton was watched by Swansea City again on Saturday, while the Bairns boss also revealed Stephen Kingsley is interesting Celtic during a BBC Scotland Sportsound radio show last night.
