A 2-0 defeat at Glenafton knocked Camelon out of the Scottish Junior Cup.

The second-leg of the semi-final at Loch Park ended in disappointment for the viositors to New Cumnock.

But they thought they’d grabbed a vital goal when Colin Allison bundled the ball, and himself, over the line but ref David Lowe ruled it out.

It meant Findlay Frye’s late strike sealed a final place for the Afton against Ayrshire outfit Hurlford which will be held on June 1 at Rugby Park. Hurlford overcame a first-leg deficit to defeat Irvine Meadow thanks to a Stewart Kean hat-trick.

It’s believed to be the first time in Junior Cup history at team which has lost a match in the competition has won the famous trophy.
