A total of 30 goals were seen by followers of the district’s football teams at the weekend.
Camelon, Dunipace, East Stirlingshire, Stenhousemuir and Falkirk were all in action and fans saw an average of six goals in the five matches.
The highest scoring game was at Westfield Park where Dunipace ran riot against Dalry, scoring nine times with just one response from the Ayrshire outfit.
Fellow Juniors Camelon were also in a high scoring affair, with six goals in their match at Bonnyrigg - with four falling in the Mariners’ favour.
However, though there was joy for the Juniors, there was no success for the seniors.
At Ochilview, the Shire were defeated 4-2 by visiting Peterhead with on-loan Warrior Andy Rodgers on the scoresheet.
Falkirk were also convincingly beaten 4-1 at Cowdenbeath.
Stenhosuemuir were in the closest match of all, and went down by a goal at Palmerston against runaway Division Two leaders Queen of the South.
