Jack Simpson is following in his relative’s footsteps to footballing success.
The Graeme High youngster has been called up to play for Scotland under-15s.
The Hearts midfielder - formerly of Falkirk and Syngenta - is a relative of Bairns ace Jocky Simpson.
He represented the Scottish league in 1910, and enjoyed a career with the Bairns before moving on to win the First Division with Blackburn Rovers in England.
He also gained eight caps for the English national side.
Jocky was an outside right, but Redding youngster Jack is a left-sided midfielder for Hearts.
Teenager Jack came through the ranks at Syngenta and Falkirk in the Community before being picked up by Hearts from the Bairns’ Academy system.
A photo of Jocky is still hung in the walls of The Falkirk Stadium.
