Bob McHugh was again Falkirk’s comeback hero in a 2-2 draw with rivals Hibs.
The super-sub rose from the bench to fire an equaliser for the Bairns just as he did last month at Easter Road.
This time though Falkirk had led through Lee Miller’s first half strike – though Tom Taiwo has a strong claim to the opener.
But Alan Stubbs’ side pummelled Falkirk in the second half and the pressure told with the home side taking the lead through goals from Liam Henderson and Darren McGregor.
But the Bairns never know when they’re beaten and cult hero McHugh fired in a knock-down from David McCracken to send the tie back to Westfield finely poised for Friday night’s second leg.
They rode their luck at times too though as David McCracken handled the ball in the penalty box in full view of ref Alan Muir – but no penalty was awarded.
