Defender Murray Wallace will sign for Huddersfield Town today.

The defender has scored twice for Bairns this season after breaking into the first team in August.

He caught the eye of scouts and prompted the Terriers to bid £300,000 up front for his services.

The fee could rise to three-quarters of a million including add-ons.

Wallace travelled to London before the Scottish Communities semi-final defeat to Celtic and held signing talks with Brighton, and also visited Ipswich Town who also had a bid for the defender accepted.

However after visiting all three clubs the 19-year-old elected to switch tio the Galpharm Stadium where ex-Bairn Scott Arfield plays his football, as does hotshot Scotland star Jordan Rhodes.

As part of the deal Wallace will return to Falkirk until the summer before relocating to Yorkshire.
