Ladies football in Falkirk district was at the top of its game this week - sampling success at the highest level.
A pair of the area’s footballers - Nic Docherty and Leanne Ross - played in the last 16 of the Champions League with Glasgow City at Arsenal.
Meanwhile the Falkirk community football foundation under-13s girls retained the Scottish Cup trophy with a thrillling 3-1 comeback victory over Hearts at Toryglen.
It completes the treble for the girls who also won their domestic league and the League Cup trophy with a win over Motherwell at Ochilview in June.
The FCFF football devlopment officer Richard Fox told The Falkirk Herald: “We’re extremely proud and it’s a fantastic achievement after 12 months of hard work from players, coaches and parents.
“Every player got on the park - it was a real squad effort and they did well to perform on a tricky, bobbly pitch.”
Goals from Chelsea McEacharan and Leah Eddie overturned Hearts’ half-time lead.
Ross, Docherty and Glasgow City trailed 3-0 going into last night’s second leg.
