The annual general meeting of Falkirk FC was held last night in the Westfield Lounge.

Martin Ritchie, the club chairman, along with director Andy Thomson and team manager Steven Pressley, addressed more than 100 shareholders at the Stadium bar during a two-hour meeting.

The Bairns chairman also named Mr Thomson as chairman of a new company - Falkirk FC Events Ltd - which will follow on from the success of Elton John by organising further gigs at the ground.

That fell into line with the club’s vision and merssage of the evening - utilising the Stadium site.

Property costs are one of the most significant for the club, which turned a profit of almost £200,000 last year when transfer income of £600,000 was added to the balance sheet.

Lex Miller was re-appointed a director and thanked shareholders today via www.falkirkherald.co.uk: “It is an honour to be re-appointed to the board at last night’s AGM, and to continue to work for Falkirk FC.

“I thank the shareholders for this and their support.”
