Falkirk have distanced themselves from reports linking them with Luke Leahy.
The 19-year-old was brought in on a week’s trial last month and Steven Pressley was impressed and invited the player back for another look during pre-season.
But he has been left bemused by reports this morning claiming a deal has been agreed.
“Luke impressed us on trial,” he admitted to The Falkirk Herald, “and we will be having another look at him.
“However he’s not a replacement for Thomas Scobbie, and no deal has been agreed.”
Leahy, who spent last season with Rugby Town, was viewed by the Bairns as a player for one of the vacant forward positions- not a left-back where he was deployed last term for Rugby.
The Bairns are due to muster for pre-season on June 22.
