Willie Gibson has chucked the chocolate, and feels all the better for it.
The Falkirk playmaker has shed a stone since joining Steven Pressley’s side and is feeling the benefits of the extra-fitness work he’s putting in.
“I love a wee bit of chocolate, but I’ve given it up completely,” Gibson told The Falkirk Herald.
“Overall I’ve always been quite a healthy eater, but I was eating at the wrong times, so I’ve cut that out.
“Everything I’ve tried so far since coming to Falkirk has worked - diet shakes the lot - and I’m pleased.”
Gibson completed 90 minutes on Saturday at Ayr United and says he is getting nearer to full fitness with every game - but Pressley is demanding the playmaker becomes even lighter as the games progress.
“I came in without a game in three months and I’ve worked incredibly hard to shift the pounds. I do extra shifts on a Tuesday and I feel better.
“It’s frustrating knowing how fit I once was, but that’s what happens when you’re effectively out of the game for as long as I was.
“Now I do spin classes before training too, but that’s what I have to do. It’s all progressing well and I hope my performances on the park can keep up.”
