Falkirk have signed former Hearts goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald on a one-year deal.
According to our sister paper the Edinburgh Evening News (here) MacDonald also had offers on the table from Kilmarnock and an unnamed Swedish outfit.
However, the 28-year-old has opted to join up with new Bairns boss Peter Houston ahead of a Championship campaign which will see him line up against his former club plus Hibs and Rangers.
The stopper was released by the Jambos in May at the end of a season in which he won both the club’s Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards.
He replaces fans’ favourtite Michael McGovern who signed for Hamilton Accies in the SPFL Premiership.
