Michael McGovern has joined Craig Sibbald and Kieran Duffie on international duty this week.

The Falkirk goalkeeper has been a late call-up to the Northern Ireland senior squad for the match with Russia on Wednesday night.

And the Bairns number one is guaranteed a place on the bench with boss Michael O’Neill opnly naming two goalkeepers in the World Cup qualifier squad.

McGovern replaces St Johnstone goalie Allan Mannus who has withdrawn.

He’s the third Falkirk player on international duty.

Kieran Duffie is in the squad for tomorrow night’s Scotland under-21 match against England at Bramall Lane, and Craig Sibbald trained with John Collins as part of Ricky Sbragia’s Scotland under-19s at Kilsyth this morning.
